The last time my kids were home they requested eggrolls, so when someone had an extra cabbage at church I snagged it. Then I got home and looked at my recipe. My eggroll recipe is the only recipe that I have ever seen that calls for leftovers. Coincidentally it does not call for cabbage. It is one of those recipes I just use for loose reference, rather than any sort of guide, so I will use cabbage and shredded carrots instead of celery and beansprouts. That sounds better anyway.
Does anyone have a turnip recipe? My step-dad seems to have raised too many and I sense I will be on the receiving end of some turnips soon.
I miss Xangazon. Not that I am a big Amazon fan, but I liked being able to share things. For example I am listening to HarvestTime Blues by Stephanie Davis of Garrison Keillor fame.

Did you get your tattoo? I like the idea! My sister has some tattoos; I could never make up my mind permanently enough to get one. But I like them on other people. I used to work at a chiropractic clinic between undergrad and grad school and we did some massage therapy and there was one guy who had a tattoo that covered his entire back of a woman dressed (okay, 1/2 dress) in a pirate-y type costume sitting with her legs up, genitalia exposed and masturbating. I thought it was hilarious and would massage her until she was pink. Ha ha! Too funny. Gosh, the children are whiney today. I must admit, your time just to yourself sounds quite enjoyable from here in Shriek&Whine Central. Have a lovely day – and the egg rolls sound tasty and I do prefer cabbage to bean sprouts.

@miss_order – I made an appointment for Saturday night. It isn’t like I have any other plans on a Saturday night. I see so many tattoos at work-there is one fairly normal guy who has a four letter word on his knuckles; his wedding ring covers up most of the “C.” I was considering the pirate thing myself but it was just too spendy for me.

I’ve never eaten a turnip in my life. I can look in my Martha Stewart cookbook though and see if there’s a recipe in there.
